The 2024 Belt and Road Summit, focusing on "Building a Connected, Innovative, and Green Belt and Road," will be held in Hong Kong from September 11 to 12. The Summit will bring together senior government officials and business leaders from countries and regions within and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange insights on multilateral cooperation and explore concrete business opportunities.

Nicholas Ho, the Commissioner for Belt and Road, told an SFC journalist that, as a key link and prime platform for the Belt and Road and with the central government's support, Hong Kong can leverage its unique advantages to connect the Chinese mainland with other Belt and Road regions. He suggested that Hong Kong serves as a functional platform, acting as both a "super connector" and a "super value-adder" for the Belt and Road Initiative.
